CEFITEC research project DEA-DISCOVER – Data-Driven Discovery of Dissociative Electron Attachment Mechanisms has been recommended for funding under the 2025 FCT Call for Exploratory Research Projects.
Professor Orlando Teodoro, Director of METROVAC, the accredited Laboratory of Vacuum Technology and Metrology, contributed an article entitled "OS 235 ANOS DA CRIAÇÃO DO SISTEMA MÉTRICO DECIMAL - A NECESSIDADE DOS HOMENS SE ENTENDEREM!" to País Positivo, a publication distributed with the Portuguese weekly newspaper SOL.
Dr. Cláudia Vistas, researcher in CEFITEC’s Solar-Pumped Laser Laboratory, ranked 2nd among eight funded candidates for the position of Assistant Researcher in the Physical Sciences category of the 8th Edition of the Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus, awarded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) in September 2026 (provisional results).
Based on his strong publication record and expertise in the field, Professor Dawei Liang, Head of the Laser Technology Group of CEFITEC, has been appointed to the Editorial Board of Energies, within the section A2: Solar Energy and Photovoltaic Systems.
Entry-Level Postdoctoral Position in Experimental Positron and Positronium Science at the Australian National University (ANU). The position is funded from a recent Australian Research Council grant and is for 2.5 years. The closing date for applications is July 5.
The "VÁCUO Workshop 2026" aims to bring together specialists to promote discussion on deposition methods, materials synthesis, characterization techniques, and vacuum technology in general.
